We've been working on this one for a while and we're so excited to finally say it out loud: as of August 12th, a new Leah Alexandra boutique will be open at Oakridge Park.
Internally, we've been calling it "The Bungalow" since day one of design and once you see the inspiration behind it, you'll understand why. Ahead of opening, we wanted to give you a first look at the story behind the space.
Where the Inspiration Started
The nickname says it all. This space is a nod to vintage California living, by way of the 1960s with the blend of classic Golden Age glamour with mid-century modern style. Think vintage carports, an oversized chandelier, soft fabric draping along the walls, and marble tile underfoot. We wanted the space to feel less like a traditional store and more like stepping into a glamorous old Hollywood dressing room. A place you'll want to linger in, not just shop in.
The Palette: Warm, Beige & a Little Bit Jade
Every material and finish in the space was chosen to feel warm before anything else. We love our neutrals but we kept things interesting by using different textures and materials throughout the boutique. Against all that warmth, we wanted one colour to do the talking — a beautiful jade green marble that shows up throughout the space. It's the accent that keeps the whole thing a little luxurious.
A Space Designed to Slow You Down
More than anything, we wanted this space to feel luxurious but approachable. No fluorescent lighting and no rush to get in and out. Just a warm space full of things we love, designed to be explored at your own pace. It's the store we've always wanted to build and Oakridge Park felt like exactly the right place to build it in.

It's easy to turn a visit into a full day or night out! Personal favourites of ours so far: Makaam's for Thai food, Via Tevere for pizza, and Mello Donuts for dessert.
